UhhH.... and AnoThEr OnE..uHhH...

So here's interview two for you. Courtesy of Cap'n Sparrow. The meanest Captain of the sea. That is, as legend goes..... as legend goes, that is.

He once woke up tied to the top of a table (like a small wooden banquet table) just as the sailers were swingin the table back and forth. They say no one noticed him waking up. "Fucken hell, it's almost damn fucken impossible to believe that sonofabitch was still walking with the lving after the bloody shit that had just happend" the drunken sailer told me with a grave look of respect and fear. "That fucken shit isn't bloody human. They say he's been alive nearly 800 years!! And you'd believe it too!!! if you'd seen that way that bastard flew through the air cutting the very wind infront of him with jeweled daggers of cold silver..... I'm still haunted by the screams.... .. . cries of fury. I bloody well reckon I still hear them on the coldest darkest nights when the even the stars are hidin. You beter fucken believe it..... junior!!" the sailer scowled at me. Visablly angered by the memories of his misfortunes.

I smeared the beer down my pant leg, as he went on.

"Next bloody thing I know is I'm tied to a timber floating out in sea. My beloved Floating Anchor whom I'd been faithful to for 27 years was smokin just there in front of me. There....my love... smokin like a bloody fiddle gettin played by the devil himself. While I'm tied by the best fucken knot know'n to the water. I cried.... out of bitter rage.... as I saw the curse-ed letters spelling 'Capt. Rob Sparrow' in my blood all over that bloody timber.... barely keepin a man from being swallowed completely."

I gave the bartender enough to keep that man drinkin for 4 more days and I thought to myself, 'I guess that's why he was missing every second finger...... 800 years eh???"

...800 and some, some say....

1.If you could write and sing a duet with anyone (alive or dead) in the music industry who would you choose and why?

Way to specify 'in the musis industry' Cap'n. That's a clause I've never heard before and it blocks my instinctive loophole answer to say Jesus Christ. I would LOVE to meet him physically....in real life.

I would choose Tupac Shakur. He's the best rapper that there's ever been, and that's arguable. But he's the best. His style is amazin. His voice is so distinct. And he was real. There's a lot of real rappers, but if you see Tupac's history, the ideals he had, and how he followed through with them , he wasn't false in a single sense. A living contradiction, just as we mostly are, but astrong man with courage who was trying to liberate an oppressed nation, before he got caught in all the glamour drama that most now define him by. If he was still alive ALOT of things would be very very different. I promise you that. And my last reason for pickin a duet with him is that we would would ripp the clouds outta the sky with our styles.

2.Do you have any phobias?

No.

I've had to face a lot of fears to reach the point I'm at. And I can sincerely say I'm not scared of anything. And that may be very subjective, but I believe it to be true.

3.Name something(as in a talent) that you don't have but you wish you could have.(and I've read your raps they are really good...so you can't say rap =D I'm talking ice-sculpting, 3 point shoot out contests etc.)

It would have to be having a talent for makin music. I would love to be able to compose a symphony and write music. Sometimes I have really good beats in my head and I have no ways of expressing them.

Now that you mention it Cap'n Rob, I would love also to be able to make sculptures out of stone, the way Michealangelo and others could... . .. . and who's doesn't love Endward Scissorhand's ice sculptures. It's like ballet pretty.

4.You are on a deserted island and there is a cd player...you can only have one cd to listen to for what may be the rest of your life...what cd do you pick? (and no burned cd's)

KRS-One.....Return of the Boom Bap

5.Would you please make up a fictitious word and a definition for that word please

Sure, no problem: letnatik - just lettin a wierd mannerism that someone's doing while you're conversing go unnoticed, as if it's not happening.

I really just made that up, in like 1 second right now. I'm sayin just to give it validity. And I would use it like so:

Just letnatik that shit man. He didn't mean anythin by it. He just always trips out like that.
OR
I was talkin to ( ) and (she/he) kept lickin (her/his) lips, but I letnatik and kept sayin how I finally found out who that sailer was.

So yeah. Thanks Cap! It's been real!! keep it in the skies.... I got so much love for ATL. I'll be see'een you.

everyone..... Capt. Rob Sparrow!!............. thanks for the compliments on my raps mate!

ahh, to bE an iNteRviEwee

I was on my friends website and she offered to interview anyone, just ss I am about to right away. And so I took her up on it. What's shocking is what she asked me. It's not completely shocking because GOD sooOoOOooOo must have been involved in this (not that he's not in absolutely everything - lots to think about there), but visibally to 'me' HE was involved here quite a bit.

WOW

Christan.... good questions.

And the question's are:

1) Where (as in location) is your first/earliest/youngest memory?
oh! here I am all frustrated and making my brain work super hard trying to recollect what my youngest memories are and as I go to write them... I re-read the question. OOOh where was my first memory. That's much easier. Los Angeles, California. The city of Angels some time between 1982-84 would be my first memory.

2) What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "challenged"?
"what's the point of your question? Are you trying to get me to say or support something I don't really believe." Is my first thought to your question. And then my first thing that came to mind once I thought about the word challenged, in this order, becasause I for real thought of everything pretty simultaneaously.... even my questioning your question.. is:
- A red triangle flag flapping in the wind, with a castle in the background and also blue skies. The angle at which the scene is, is from floor level looking up, but only seeing the tip of the pole / lance and only a bit of the castle, some of the top border, and one tower, all in the lower left hand corner and the rest clear baby blue skies.
- The word hadicapped, how it may be offensive, how you (Christan) don't quite agree with political correctedness, and a picture of somone hunched over drooling in a wheelchair with his hands bent in and wearing a red shirt with thin white horizontal stripes, white collar, and short sleeves.
- The challanges of standing up. I thought of Doctor Martin Luther King, Malcom X, and my own future.

Just to explain the flag a bit, I think it pertained to me associating the word challange with 'I challange you to a duel, and people getting slapped with gloves, and knights and stuff'

3) Who is your favorite fictional character (reference please) and why?

Hmmm, so far I haven't really had to think. I did for the 1st one, but I wasn't suppose to. this is making me think though.... hmmmm.... . . ... . I never saw this answer coming. oh wait. I thought of someone else. The first one would have been a romantic answer and I was already probably starting to blush / think of what I must sound like. and now I have a 'boy' answer.
My favorite fictional character is Wolverine from X-men. He's the coolest ever. He can fight of sooo many guys at the same time and he's such a power house. For those that know, I like the cartoon one, not the comic or movie one. He's a mutant who wasn't originally a mutant, by mutant standars. But was a human who was taken to be tested on for army research and they replaced his skeleton with an alloy metal skeleton and he got huge claws that come out of his knuckles on demand. He has quick regeneration mutant ability, so if he get's shot, stabbed, punched really hard, he heal quickly and naturally, with time. And he says 'I heal quickly bub'.
He's my favorite cuz he is. He's baddass. He's one of the goodguys, but doesn't really like 'good guys', except the girls. Has an attitude.. pretty negative one. Is totally dependable. Has cool hair. Is an amazing fighter. And always looks after everyone. He's such a softie. (can you imagine if I would have picked my initial choice???!!!!)

4) If you had change your name, what would you change it to? What significance does your "new" name have?
Ok, how do you think up of this. I've only though about changing my name once. And I'm not sure ifI was serious or not. It would be JuleZ Habaquc.
Jules was a nickname given to me in grade 8 and has been very dear to me because a lotof people I care about have called me strictly Jules for year and years. Sometimes people after getting to know me ask me if they can call me Jules. And I laugh and say yeah.... taht's actually my nickname. I barely tell anyone my nickname though, or ask them to call me by it, but I like it when people do.

I changed it to JuleZ after I tried helpin out Mime get off the streets being a prostitute and crack dealer and I wasn't able to. She emailed me and called me JuleZ, instead of Jules. She was only sixteen when I was 21. 3 years ago. We use to rap back and forth as conversation instead of talking. those were some of the first times I ever rapped.

Habacuq I picked up painfully whe after really questioning GOD once. Valentine's Day 2003 to be exact. I got the answer with that name. I had never heard of him (the prophet...it's a biblical reference) before then and it was truly an answer. I wasn't questioning him about LOVE, but the story is kinda long. So I'll just say I asked GOD something and opened the bible and he answered my question. And I'm still don't fully underdstand. but I do. ... the name is in spanish, by the way. It was a spanish bible.

5) Write a sentence including your favorite color and your favorite food.
Me encntaria ver te vestida de verde comiendo pupusas.

I would love to see you dressed in green eating pupusas.

kinda like forest-y green

Us

Dedicated to you. Sorry, but no not you the general reader. But you. Who I hope is reading this and maybe understanding me a little better. This was completely inspired to be put in words by our talking in that short period of time we were together. Thank you on many levels.

A general thank you all together.

Titled: Us

The world is shakin
breakin
and taking me for ransom
and all this time I admired it
and thought that we were dancin
chancin on each other
n chancin on ourselves
but you're suckin us dry
n tossin depleted wells

if I fell and was broken
due to ridicule and jokin
would you change the habit
with which you speak what's spoken???

I'm so gasoline soaken
please look me in my eyes
before you light the fire
and acquire a new sense of right
and admire me for what I was

So much vain glory is my story
to why I even began to try
to erase my face from the face of the earth
there's so much worth to being invisible
but then youre thought's aren't transmissible

So many shape shifters
with some not knowing what they're doing
GOD's not a babysitters
and HE won't lead us to our ruin

Dear Mr. World stop screwin me around
we're not cattle for your feed
you're noble steed is a hound
there's no need to even pound
your fist the way you do
we're not meant to be cruel and vicous like you
but like you
I want to mash bash crash and lash
out to my souroundings
It's astoundings that all surrenders to LOVE
and we're patiently absolved and freed of
being shoved back

I lack the first step of faith and hope
and two and three of humility
their concepts evade me
their actions invade me
enveloping me as a whole
mind body and soul

Am I the cure or disease
tearing wind or the breeze
check my will
check my steez
Am I what you imagine
or what you sees???

I'm neither and both
contradicting
but don't loathe
No man
and
every man
is an
island
like ice-land
everything points to cold
but
hold on it's green

I have a walk
I have a look
I have a dance
I'm not what you think
please give me a chance

I'm not playing a game
I don't know why I'm not the same
or
what you read me to be
I'm blind yet I can see
Tied up yet I'm free
Say I believe
Yet high tail and flee!!!!

So scared to see my true reflection
sick
and seeking inner inspection
seek truth with hope and LOVE
THEY're up there
yep

All I need is one Mic

ALL I NEED IS ONE LIFE,
ONE TRY,
ONE BREATH
I'M ONE MAN
WHAT I STAND FOR
SPEAKS FOR ITSELF,
THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND
Or wanna see me on top,
too egotistical
Talkin all that slick shit,
the same way these bitches do
Wonder what my secrets is,
niggaz'll move on you only
if they know,
what your weakness is
I have none
Too late to grab guns
I'm blastin cause
I'm a cool nigga
Thought I wouldn't have that ass done?
Fooled you niggaz
What you call a infinite brawl,
eternal souls clashin
War gets deep,
some beef is everlastin
Complete with thick scars,
brothers knifin each other up in prison yards,
drama.....
where does it start?
You know the block was ill as a youngster
Every night it was like a,
cop would get killed body found in the dumpster
For real a hustler,
purchased my Range,
niggaz throwin dirt on my name
Jealous cause fiends got they work and complain
Bitches left me cause they thought I was finished
Shoulda knew she wasn't true
she came to me when her man caught a sentence
Diamonds are blindin,
I never make the same mistakes
Movin with a change of pace,
lighter load.....
see now the king is straight
Swellin my melon
cause none of these niggaz real
Heard he was,
tellin police,
how can a kingpin squeal?
This is crazy,
I'm on the right track
I'm finally found
You need some soul searchin,
the time is now
All I need is one mic..
yeah,
All I need is one mic..
that's all I ever needed in this world,
fuck cash
All I need is one mic..
fuck the cars, the jewelry
All I need is one mic..
to spread my voice to the whole world
All I need is one mic

None is Needed

I wrote a sonnet for a realy good friend of mine's birthday, and it was the first one I ever wrote so I gave him the original and I wanted to share it with you cuz I thought you might like it.

it doesn't have a titile but....(see the title of his post)

Wish ash was dust as calmly I hush the air
Never bare a stolen stare as only perchance
Or a cold hold of d'mass amongst the most fair
One layer pops peeled as another unveiled thier dance

Ringlets have bounce n'silent mouths mispronounce
Always ringing the bells of tomorrow
While truth will wait for full weight to announce
Calamity, elegant births, and sorrow

Columns of light so much greater than night
Do not battle dark hymns but show kindness
When what would seem oh so not right
Peels the arm of the knight who was mindless

The plan the Man that with LOVE in his hand
Did once create for no man to understand

Rockin Out to Violent Femmes

I started off by downloading downloading some Sufjan Stevens. I heard this song called upper peninsula and it was sooo goooood that I needed that and more, but when I got to searchin i could only find like 5 or 6 of his songs and none of them where upper peninsula. you can imagine my anguish. (there was none... just a little bit) And so after thta I started hookin up some Jolie Rickman. She just died I think and that's how I heard about her, but agian the one song I heard left me wnating more. I looked that up, but to no avail. not a single song of her, so I searched the net to see if I was spelling her name right and I was, but what hooked it up is that I bounced into a site and it was a commemorative site to her death and on there they compared her to the violent femmes. I said goodie and hooked that up in a hurry. I've heard of them forever and I just hadn't gotten around to listening to them yet, but now I'm listening to them as we speak. As I type. Probably not as you read. I should be more mature. but I won't. *smile*

So yesterday I woke up singing to Bob Marley. that's gotta be one of the best ways to wake up!! I have a radio alarm clock and it's set to CKUA (
www.ckua.org).

ok we interrupt our programming for special party news. I just found out (like 2 seconds ago) that tonight this crazy canadian rapper is playing at the Victory Lounge (the old Lush... i dunno what it was before that. Below the Starlight room - the old Rev... the crack in the wall... I'm telling you this cuz any one of those descriptions would hook it up). So yeah He's playing, but it says that the 'headliner' is at 8. ten bucks cover. hellz yeah. The guys name is Epic. I think he's originally from Saskatchewan or something, but he lives here in edmonton now. I met him at the bar once and I recognized him as being a rapper and he was like yeah! and I talked to him and his girl, ( i thnk they were together???) and he was way cool. And then I talked to him briefly a the Edmonton DMC finals last year. So I'm so gonna go check out the show tonight. Common!!! Everyone's invited!!!!

So anyways. bob Marley right. So i listen to this radio station not so much anymore, but it's still cool and rocks the free world, but I wake up at different times (between 6-8:10 usually) and so I don't know the morning programming or anything, but yesterday was Bob Marley and today???... it was a story on how cops found a vampire chat conversation between a girl and a guy, probably really a goat in peru and a dog in lithuania... it's the internet!, and they said that the girl was saying how much she loved drinkin blood and the guy was all tryin to style her so e was saying that he was willing to kill a whole family and drain their blood. not the best way to hit on a girl... but whatever. romance is wierd sometimes. And so the COPS were very 'concern' and 'they should have known earlier'. Man, these guys should maybe hit up a blood bank and use a microwave or some boiling water... I dunno!! A double boiler even..... But the worst part of it all is that that was how I woke up. Yesterday... me singin.... we jamminnnn, we jamminn, oh won't you come jamminn too. Today, I wake up and don't even think about reachin for the alarm clock. I was like -what the??!! you know? and then I stayed in bed trying to figure out what I was listening to and once it all clicked I laughed, and turned it off. Go cops.

So yeah here's a link for all you against McMurder and McCancer and McEverything
http://www.mcspotlight.org/campaigns/current/leaflets.html
It seems that this week in the European Court of Human Rights the London Greenpeace just had a great
victory in court. Proving that McDonald's does indeed destroy the rainforest, treat the animals they use for food cruely, exploit children with advertisement, pay really poor wages, and decieves by making their food seem nutritious when it's not.

Not shocked, not amazed??

It took 15 years of legal action, and the british lawyers had to go out of the british courts to win the case, because it's known that british courts are corporation friendly. sound familiar?? And so yeah, it all started when McDonalds sued the London Greenpeace for distributing the fliers from the link above outside of McDonald's in London. This is like Nike getting proven in court that they exploit children, take advantage of tax breaks in thrid wolrd coutries, beat their workers, pay next to thing for thier product and then rip off their 'customers'. cool eh? There was also another lawsuit that was won by the people (power to the people... this is my subliminal message) and it had to do with McDonald's lieing to the public....maybe more like decieving the public about them sayin that they weren't using Trans Fats when they were. What happened is that they said that they would stop using them starting XX Date. This made huge news!!! then got tons of press. And for whatever reason, once they tried to switch over it didn't work out for them (probably took all the taste out of their fries...) and so they released a press release on a friday night to disclose that they weren't going to anymore. Zero media coverage. Result... people who wouldn't touch it if they had trans fats (poeple with health issues or worried about health issues) started eating McFood and then found out it did still have trans fats. Trickery. so yeah. That's more or less the scoop.

!!Thank you all the poeple who helped in the trails!!

Sorry to make this post infinately long. I have more to say but I'll stop. bon nuit to all.

......oooooh they're so violent

WiLL u Be mY VaLenTiNE

So yeah, i hope you had a good weekend and are now celebrating Love because your told to do so. You know, today is the day to be showing Love, not like the other 364 days a year.

Anyways.

Does everyone know what's going on in Haiti right now?? I've been hearing scattered news here and there and all of it is bad and doesn't make sense. The same way lots of things don't make sense, and there I was last night cleaning out my mailboz because it's always between 90-97% full. So I deleted about 140 messages and am now down to 47%. sweet huh? Luckily swirvemail gives me 10M of storage not 2 like hotmail. And waht's the deal?? is it true some people have gottten their Hotmail upgraded to 100M for free lately?? That sounds kinda nice.... is there a hook..... is it even really happenin?? ... . .. I dunno.

So yeah. Haiti right. I found an email I got from my friend last year about Haiti and it definantely hooked up some good information and I thought you too might want to know. Don't believe something in it... please look it up. Let me know.

The email goes like so:

I just wanted to shed some light on the crisis currently facing Haiti; however, I wanted to present it within the historical context of that country. Back in the 1700 Haiti (then called San Domingo) was one of the richest colonies in the world due to the country's lush plantations and the brutal exploitation of half a million slaves forced out of Africa.

Inspired by the French Revolution the slaves of San Domingo rose up in 1791. They fought the colonial forces for more than 12 years; first the plantation owners and armed forces, secondly a Spanish invasion, followed by the British and finally the French. The US, led by Thomas Jefferson at the time, led a campaign to isolate Haiti and recognition of Haiti's independence was refused for 62 years.

During this period the Haitian people were forced to pay France 150 million gold francs (approximately $ 21 Billion today) in exchange for independence - money that was supposed to compensate slave-owners and the heirs. When the first installment was due, Haiti (under military threat of the French Navy) was forced to borrow the money from France, placing the economy in the hands of its former colonial masters. This financial grip continued until in 1915 the US invaded to crush an uprising. What followed was 19 years of military occupation and the loss of 60, 000 Haitian lives.

In 1956 François "Papa Doc" Duvalier seized power backed by the US. The Duvalier dictatorship, which was taken over by "Baby Doc" in 1971, lasted until 1986. Tens of thousands of Haitians were massacred and millions stolen from the national coffers.

In the late 1980's the Catholic Priest Jean-Bertrand Aristide offered the country some hope with his message of liberation theology. He was swept to power in the 1990 elections. Aristide's efforts to introduce reforms were overwhelmed by interference from abroad. The currency lost half of its value, unemployment increased and poverty deepened. Seven months later, a military junta led by US-trained soldiers ousted Aristide. The UN helpfully responded with an embargo, further impoverishing the country.

Three years later, in September of 1994 Aristide returned to power when President Bill Clinton proclaimed to the world he was "restoring democracy". Clinton sent in 20, 000 troops to aid in this endeavor. He did this in order to ease hostility in the US due to the thousands of Haitian "boat people" arriving on US shores and secondly the US had just been humiliated in Somalia and they needed a military success. Thirdly, US authorities feared that the army in Haiti would soon be overthrown by popular revolt.

When Aristide was returned to power he was forced by the US to accept an IMF-dictated program for maintaining low wages, privatizing state enterprises and eliminating tariffs and other controls on imports. In the May 2000 elections Aristide's Fanmi Lavalas Party overwhelmingly beat Washington's favored candidates. The opposition, backed by the Organization of American States, cried foul, the government refused to back down, and Haitians were again punished by an international blockade of millions of dollars of aid. A few months ago Haiti was forced to pay the US $ 30 million in arrears in loans.

All of this is what has led to the current crisis.

All along the US has undermined democracy by backing the opposition and strangling the Haitian economy.

Sexta Feira

So it Friday. No longer neccesarily the best day of the week for me anymore, but I definately dig not having to work tommorow. As for plans:
tonight I'm going out for dinner to a Salvadorean restaurant with a really really cool friend of mine. We worked together meters aways (sometimes less than a meter and we would crash if we bothe stretched at the same time) for 3 years and are for surely homies for life. Some really goods and really hards. Angiush and companionship.

Hey Chris. Nice Hat!

So I dunno if we're hangin after that, or what the deal is. And if we're each doing our thing after that I dunno if I want to find something to do- cuz lately i've really being appreciating good sleep. It makes the whole day so much more pleasent and efficient. no joke. It's suuuuch a struggle when you get the 4-5 hr sleep, and not the best time when I get less than 7. I haven't read all week, so maybe reading might be in order. But I also think chances might be pretty good that we'll end up hangin after dinner. We'll see. Has anybody checked Alien Vampire Boy Internet Mix Volume 1. It's soo killer. It might be out in stores, but I'm not sure. I was able to hook it up off of this guy I know, but I recommend hard!

So that's tonight. Then tommorow morning I got invited to go to this breakfast for like 12$ and it's being put on by charismatics here in town and the Archbishop is going to be there too. I think I'm going to start going to their prayer groups too every wednesday because I'm soo for charismatic groups. We use to go when I was a kid, and it was ok. I wasn't purely bored, but I don't remember jumping up and down either. But these groups are all about the Holy Spirit and letting God work through them. How bomb is that??!! They're critized for being wierd, but thta's because often one recieves the gift of tounges, discernment, peace, and crazy things happen. But you really have to be there to know. Man, I'm quite looking forward to that. One of my friends is also getting ready to be baptized so I'm going to his introduction to our parish later after that tomorrow and then going down to the bassilica (sp) to meet with the Archbishop. I just realized Again. twice in one day. Holey double 'wammy bar'. (you gotta say it like Kassandra from Wayne's World 1). yup. Pretty special day I guess. And then I think that me my friend, and his RCIA sponser will probably hang. At least I hope so. I just met him two nights ago, the sponser... not my friend, and he is one cool cat. He is hardcore into facts with regards to politics, the bible, and social stuff.... and he's a pleasure to talk to. So that's what I'm hoping for.

Oh, yeah. I'm also going to go buy some running shoes cuz I'm going to start running at our university track with my older sister, hopefully starting on monday or something. And I'm hoping to go see 'House of Flying Daggers' too this weekend. I just really llike those movies. They're pretty standard for anyone who watched martial arts movies, but I've really only seen the big recent commercial ones and I dig em. Like Hero, crouching tiger, and the other one with the dad and the little kid who bothe kick ass. something monkey something I think. but I don't mean drunken monkey with Jackie Chan. He's cool. He's alright. Same with Jet Lee. But I like Jet Lee more. am I spellin his name right?? I don't even know.

yup. busy weekend. busy nights. pretty standard I guess....

so how's life??

you into activism??...??

There's another anti-war (pro-peace for the anti-'anti' women and men) worldwide march on March 20th agian this year. Everybody really represented last year and it was thanks to that that our own governement didn't send troops to fight in Iraq. Links for what's going on in your city are really easy to find if you google it or pick up an independent magazine in your city.

also here's a good link. http://www.boycottbush.net/ Please do!

click-click around and see what's up. see if you agree with it or not. or if you need more information to make a more informed decision. Currently i'm making attempts to boycott Esso, Kraft, Nabisco, Coca-cola, pepsi, and McDonalds.
I say attempt, and you'll know what I mean once you start boycotting or if you already are, but my boycotting gets better every day. This is a global movement and it's having big impacts on companies. In Brazil Coca-cola profits dropped by 25%!!!!!! huge eh. That's what I'm talkin about.

Sexta Feira is friday in portuguese. instead of monday tuesday.... they say 2nd, third, 4th, 5th and 6th Feira. way cool. kinda confusing till you get it. And they still say Sat and Sunday.

!!Enjoy your weekend!!

first off, there is no Holy Oil mixed into the ashes (as mentioned yesterday....told you not to quote me.. .) and what's said as the ashes are put on your forhead is "Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel" (Mark 1:15) .... ma bad. Still really beautiful and encouraging.

So while I was out of the country, Jan 19 - Feb 3, I missed my favorite news reel that I try and catch everyday, but fortunately for me you can catch it on the internet. Actually... . where I live you can catch 1 empisode a week on our local university station, but if you want it mon-fri the only way to get is thru the net. (through vs thru eh?... how annoying) and yes i say eh. and yes i'm cool. BUT anYwaYs. There some people around the world. namely lots of americans, who get it shown on thier TV through public channels. One day I'm going to help establish one of those channels here. unless someone else does, without my help. Either way I'll be happy.

The show is Democracy Now! www.democracynow.org and since I started listening they've been doing they're daily War on Peace Report. It's all american news, but it covers many global issues AND true american new (vs cbs fox and cnn propaganda) is important for everyone. Since their the strongest imperialists in the world and their actions affect us all.

so yeah, i missed it while I was gone and I've been catching up on it listening to reel after reel and right now I'm caught up to Feb 2nd and man! can you believe what's going on!!

Tip of the iceberg right?

The past is pretty gory and depressing too. The future could be, but doesn't have to be. not if we imagine it differently and work wisely towards this. It all God's will though in the end. Even though we have free will as individuals, there's still some master plan. something I've been reflecting on the last couple of days is "Pray like it all depends on God... and work like it all depends on you" It's definately about balance and realizing we can do things on our own, but we are weak fragile human beings. we MUST be pro-active though. To whatever level possible. There's millions struggling for existance and for the ablity to stay alive because they barely have access to drinking water and food. But are we??

slow motion is better than no motion.

and in case you were wondering about the title. The first is the brand name on my computer speakers. and the second is some manufacturer of steel or something. I took them from lookin around in my office. Yes I'm at work. and i'm writing this on my lunch break.

40 days Till Easter

Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of lent and the end to huge parties in New Orleans and even bigger parties in Rio.
Lent is the most important time of the year for christians wether christians themselves realize it or not. Because hopefully there are readers who are completely secular and some whoe are totally religious, I can speak about religious things from any prespective and not offend everyone. At least not at the same time.
Anyways, what I was talking about is that Christmas is huge because it symbolizes the day Jesus was born in Bethlehem. He wasn't actually born on Dec 25/0 AD but that was the day chosen to replace a day previously being a Roman pagan holiday. I'm not sure which one. But the only reason Christmas is important, or should I say, the only reason Jesus' birthday is so monumental, is because he ressurected 3 days after he was killed. And that's Easter monday... 40 days from now. This was the final stamp that yes indeed he is God and the son of God he Father.

!!!Thank you God for loving us so much!!!

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust... we all know it. I think that the original goes like this "you are dust, and to dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:19).

And that reminds me of John 3:16.

But yeah, I'm going to church right away and today we get a cross smeared on our forehead (burned palms from last years palm sunday... I think maybe mixed with Hoily Oil..don't quote me ) and as the cross is layed on our forehead, the words "you are dust, and to dust you shall return" are spoken and followed up by an Amen. From me and others too.

Sometimes the cross looks like someones fingerprint on your forehead. The meaning is so deep though.

Post Post Post... That's All I ever do

Brutal... I just found out that I'm bailing out on my ulti team tonight.... AGAIN. The number of times I haven't gone purely cuz I didn't fell like it or had 'something better' to do is now up to 3. But on the brighter side of things I was just talking to our captain, who happens to be the guy who totally talked me into joining the team in the first place while we were bothe seriously trashed before a concert back in November, and he said that there are still plenty of games left in our regular season. So I'm going to keep playing. Our teams name is The Intergalactic Junglelords. Hahah yeah, it was a spur of the moment type name that everyone instantly agreed too.
I also missed three games cuz I've been gone to Brazil. I was down there for the World Social Forum. If i was at all digitally skilled I would be linking words like WORLD SOCIAL FORUM and ULTIMATE FRISBEE to websites that explian what they are, but for now, I'm happy with myself posting. It's kind of a cosmic event. For real.
So yeah tons to talk about there... .. . .
Wanna hear more?? Well a little more about nothin won't hurt. Last night i went to go see Shaking Hands With the Devil - Romeo Dellaire. Anyone who knows anything about this is probably already shaking their head. He was the UN Comander (or general) in charge of the peace keepin forces who were to keep the peace accord between the Hutus and the Tutsis in Rawanda in late 1993 I think. Sorry for my spelling, but right now I have no time to look up the right spelling, or check should I say. And so in 1994 when the Hutu army, which was the governments army, trained by the french, started their campaign to Slaughter the Tutsis they quickly reacted by callin New York ,UN central, and asking for back up.
Nothing.
No reponse.
Once they got a reponse their response was something to the degree that intervening was out of their mandate. The UN's in Rawanda had no military support from the world, and very scarce resources, and were faced with the opportunity to save thousands and thousands and thousands of beautiful human beings, but they very strongly had their hands binded and their mouths gaged. They stayed and tried to do what they could, but waht could they do? They couldn't go up against an army without themselves being an army. So right when the brutal killing started, ten Belgian UN peacekeepers were killed. The UN forces that were holding ground there were comprised of soldiers from canada, congo, bangladesh or cambodia (sorry to misrepresent), and belgium. Withthe largest portion of the forces being Belgian. So once theten soldiers were killed, Belgium pulled all of their soldiers and totally crippled the UN forces more. And then the massacares started. The movie is very detailed can easily be hard to see for anyone who is sensitive, empathetic, and compassionate.
800 000 beings.
human beings
were killed in
100 days.
Clubbed... brutally hacked.... and shot to death.

constantly word was being sent out to heads of state... corprate media (BBC CBC etc) and no action was taken. People were just wiped out.

some stand points shown... comments from people who could have helped is 'there's too many of them anyways'
Black Africa who has been raped and left destitute has nothing to buy and nothing to sell. No strategical positon to offer.

No voice to be heard.

This man Romeo Dellaire, did what he could and still is. He helped make this movie and has written a book denouncing the events that took place. To feel guilty means nothin... really. What action must be taken?
