There’s nothing left to guess
about water abuse in the west.
We better start living with less,
cuz by 2025 the world’ll be
a water stress mess.
Yes,
what’s best
is less loss
cuz the cost is great.
Shall we state
our fate
so you may relate
to the decisions you make
and what’ll happen if you wait?
Canada has 20 to 25% of the world’s fresh water.
The importance of this
will not miss
as the world gets hotter.
Ask a father,
a daughter,
a mother,
or brother,
about seeing
a human being
die every 14 seconds
for lack
of physical contact
with what’s held back
behind our sink.
Let’s now think
about this next link.
100% of our cities have access
while 81% of Afghan cities lack this,
and the exactness
of this whackness
isn’t resented,
but the need is presented
as we see that biology
will only
keep man free
of death,
and with breath,
for 5 days
without hydrogenated oxygen.
So why are we dumping toxins in?
Let’s talk again
with our government
about conservation
versus commodification.
You say “Talk again?
When,
then, was the first time?”
Ah-huh!!
No public accountability
for the unsustainablity
when used with oil,
industrial farming of the soil,
massive damn devastation,
or mass deforestation.
What we’re facin’
is the death of a nation
because some people
are making money off our lives.
Protecting corporate interest,
while pretending to serve the public.
But the earth is a princess,
it goes without speaking
that we love it.
But do we?
Do our actions reflect
our introspect?
