The crowd keeps their steady walk forward because there is no backwards. Their houses have been burned down. Regional displacement is only the fingertip of the fist that beats them down. The same wicked tongue flaps and is then quoted in the newspaper headlines. "Unruly citizens have been suppressed to protect general society.".. . . Which when translated by the people who lived out the merciless cruelty will say: we finally stood up for our rights and our children were murdered. We took to the streets demanding that the money generated by our labor stay within our country and they raped our women. We said enough! And our men's blood filled the streets.
Soldiers rise in arms and follow the commands that tell them to shoot their own kin and neighbors... . . their future and their past.
